Deborah Peters knew by age nine that art was her calling. Her vivid oil paintings of Big Cats express her love for – and her fascination with – animals, which she finds “beautiful and intriguing, a wonderment.” Her paintings reflect her cinematic eye for story and dimension, drawing on her Art Institute degree in computer animation and her experience at Fox Animation Studios. To Deborah, every one of her Big Cat paintings is all about telling the Big Cat’s story in a way that grabs attention and engages people so that it’s “no longer just a picture on a canvas; it’s a living, breathing animal whose soul is staring back at you.”
